Red Sea Bream or Madai (in Japan) it is called the King of fish known as a symbol of celebration because of its red color. Sea Bream is used in celebrations in Japan for good luck, usually Japanese grill a whole sea bream in celebration of the 100 days after the baby’s birth this celebration is called the okuizome. In weddings sea bream is cooked in a salt-crust, called the Shiogamayaki, the bride and groom traditionally crack it open using a wooden hammer. For me I cooked in a Filipino way where we cook it (at home) with soup base, simple yet very tasty! Hope you’ll like this video guys, thank you!
